Blogs are Apple abusive?

I have to be honest here Apple make the best hardware going. The iPhone 5 is great, my Mac Book is the best laptop in 20 years I have owned. There are a lot of people who seem to hate apple but why?  I think I would start with why I think this is.  They have become that which they first advertised that they hated. They have become what they saw IBM as of the home PC market in 1984.  Who can forget that great hammer thrown by Bridget Nelson in homage to the film 1984.  Now when we think of a giant company trying to control how we use our personal IT equipment, we are looking at Apple.  Take my Apple TV as an example.  It would be easy for Apple to allow the device to stream media from a file share.  But no I can only watch youTube or iTunes media; it is very hard and costly to have the freedom the relay my home videos or Anime (fan subs) on the device.  I can use it for NetFlicks but like my iPhone Apple won't allow LoveFilm to operate on the device, so they can make more money.  This is the issue.  Money in becoming more important than function to Apple?  Is that the case?  Is that why this backlash and in IT a backlash can mean the end of the device?  Who uses apple maps, it makes the world look nice with all the extra parks it adds that are not there?  But it was money that caused they to try and compete with Google to the detriment of their users.  When this grab for money exceeds the desire to be the best it all goes wrong for Apple.  I want to remind them of the 1990's and where greed got them and where they might be now if they had allowed clone Macs?  iOS7 needs to be function over money and so does everything they do. Do it better and charge more. This model has worked for 30 years I urge that they stick to it.  You are the BMW of the IT world why bother trying to compete for Ford (Samsung) they make plastic junk.  Remember your roots and shine once more Apple!
